computer help needed

i want to make some changes to my 1995 5.7 gmc work truck heads,cam,throttle body over a period of weekends and still use my truck through the week im looking for more torque lots of it and hp from idle 2 4500 rpms i dont want to go crazy with the cam but i do want some lope the only performance shop close by said they dont mess with obd1 computers because basically theres nothing that can be done and flashing them locks them up 50%of the time i have seen ppl here at fsc seem to make changes compression,stroke,cam ,throttlebody so i know some one ,company can help me out and i dont think diy computer work is my thing can please help me and steer me in the right direction to some one who can

Wow, reading that gave me a headache.
First thing, do a FULL tune up, using A/C delco parts only. Then do the Ultimate TBI mods...they are listed as a sticky.
While your at it, install a straight through type muffler, like Magnaflow, Borla, or dynomax. Stock pipe should be fine.
When thats done, drive it for a while, and see if you like it.
As far as OBD1 locking up? Thats a line of crap.

thanks im running flowtech shorty headers a knocked out cat and 40 series dual outlet muffler and 3.73 gears i pull a 6by 12 enclosed trailer monday through thursday and only haveweekends to do projects to my truck and have it running good monday for work
