Single cab 5+ inchs of lift....

Lets see all the single cab short bed trucks are are lifted with over sized tires.. NBS only please..

I am planing on buying a single cab silverado with a 5.3 5 speed, and do a mild lift (rc 3in spindles , 2 inch coil spacer, 2 inch block in the rear)
with some cragar soft 8s on 33s...

My plan is to buy the truck invest some money drive it around and sell it for some profit since kids around here like the whole pre-runner style thing..


After i do that a couple time i want to get another one but do a true long travel suspension from camberg.. For my self.

Yes i know sounds like im day dreaming but i got some $$$ from my silverado that i sold ... (got it for 8k did some mods and sold it for $11,300 after i put 10,000 miles on it..)

Yeah I like the lean to a point.. But the cool thing around here is being 3+ inchs lower in that back ha .. But like I said I'm doing this to sell the trucks so far I have not found a decent looking truck in my price range.

The 5"/2" doesnt have that much cali, maybe .5 to .75 of an inch. We did a 5F/3R lift this weekend and the truck has about .5 to.75 of an inch rake.

Bamachevrolet has the 5/2 and his truck look damn nice

I've looked for RCSB with a 5.3 many times before, I think the cheapest way to do it will to buy a cheap RCSB V6 and swap a 5.3 in it

I know a guy that works at a chevy dealership and gets 6.0s all the time and sells them under $800.. out of wrecked trucks..

yeah true but that will never happen anyway to much time and labor to do a swap like that... And im almost sure that a v6 on over sized tires will be worse on gas than a 6.0 on OS tires.

Well if you can find a RCSB 4.8 a 5.3 or 6.0 would be a direct swap, wouldn't have to change anything but a tune

I thought the 6.0 would of had diff motor mounts and what not since it is bigger and heavier..

But still its more work than i want to deal with ..

Nope the 6.0 is still a small block just like a 4.8 and 5.3.

You'd change alot more stuff if you were to swap in a 8.1

Soft 8s are a little more expensive. My bros 16x8 were 300 shipped, the 17x8 was 325 shipped. Remember that 99-04 can use 16s, but 05+ cannot use anything smaller than 17s

Ive only put 8000 miles on it since May 2010 and that includes the 1200 mile move. Since ive been back, I have even changed the oil yet LMAO

HAHAHA....... That was aweful! Luckily I am about to start building a new motor. That engoine oil was only 4000 miles old, and I havent put 3000 miles on my truck since I moved here. I changed the oil when I got here and since then I have only racked up about 2000 miles lol

dont wanna burst your bubble but the 5.3 never came with a 5 speed manual, only way to get it is to swap in a nv3500 or do the 6 nv4500, that would be the easiest two

Never even knew they made 5spds in anything but 4.3s until there was a 5spd 4.8 at the local dealership. **** was way to much fun.

Then again, would love to drop in a 6.0/T56 swap into mine at some point. :(

Yeah I have a 4.8 5 speed, love it. You could get the 5 speed in a 4.3 or 4.8. Auto only for 5.3 and 6 speed with 6.0, The duramax with the RARE zf 6 speed would be soo awesome
