I have an 06' Silverado that Ive owned now for a few months. The prior owner must have got wax on the plastic trim, what would be the best method to take it off? Ive heard people using erasers, WD-40, gas but which works the best?

Just use some all purpose cleaner/degreaser and a toothbrush. Just spray the toothbrush, scrub the wax off, then wipe or hose off the plastic trim. Won't discolor the black trim pieces either.

That or some dishwasher soap solution. The key is the toothbrush. Pretent you are brushing your teeth and watch the brush get in all the pores and pull that white residue right out. Another trick many use is peanut butter. Apparently the oil in it lifts the chalky look right out. I have tried that method and it does work but I still prefer the soapy solution with a scrub brush/tooth brush.

Any interior cleaner will work in a pinch, but it will come back

DOO not use degreaser... most shop degreasers will stain plastic... i have used the Mothers Back-N-Black plastic and trim cleaner/restorer..

I didn't mean an actual degreaser like Engine Brite or Steam Premium. I just know most people refer to "all purpose cleaner" as a degreaser lol. I simply meant something like Simple Green or Purple Power mixed 50/50

I've been told that a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will work. I'd test in an inconspicuous area first though.

i'd use a warm dish soap mixture of water, and an old wash cloth...work it over the waxy plastic, and when you're done, go back over it with some of the mothers back-to-black...

the rough side of a regular dish sponge works great!
