I got a '86 K20 that i'm considering restoring. I'm also a newbie at body work. So before I begin I'm trying to do as much research as possible to "lesson" the trial and error oops's. One of the rust areas that i'm concerned with is the area towards the top of the cab where the door seals against it. It appears that where the exterior skin of the roof overlaps and is welded/sealed and has begun rusting. What is best method for repairing this or is it too late and may possiblily have to the replace cab. It's to the point where there are no big holes in the area but has bubbled up and begining to show flakey rust along that section. Any ideas or references to good technical manuals? THANKS!
