I am looking into putting a carb on my 1995 350 tbi in the future along with vortech heads and such. Basically my goal is to have all the wiring harnesses off of the motor. Was wondering if anyone has done this with the 4L60E. Will it make the computer throw too many codes and make the transmission not work at all? If so, has anyone else done this and what did they do?
Thanks

you will need the computer to operate the transmission:

Thanks for the link NEUMANNZZ. I am thinking after I get all of this done though that I'll want to eliminate my speed limiter, rev limiter, and change my shift points. Would anyone happen to know if I could find a custom chip to do this? Or would I just need to get a whole different transmission?

tbi chips might be able to help in the chip programming dept. if not you will be stuck doing it your self.

i am having LTISWAP.com reprogram my ECM as we speak. Brendan seems to know his stuff. try calling him to see if he can help. i am having my ecm programed from a 4L60E to a 4L80E, rear O2 deleted, shift points and firmness changed along with my passlock removed. i will let you know how it turns out by the end of next week.

Thanks chrisco148. Ya I would about guess that I could find a chip or programmer for what I need but can't seem to find anyone that wants to do it.
