Just finished priming my 89 suburban.
Is it ok to daily drive with 2k primer for a month, then wash the mud and sand the primer?

I did 2-3 coats of epoxy primer topped with 2 coats of 2k primer (FP410 from NAPA, made by Sherwin/ACME). This was over bare metal (&filler) except a few sections of the door jams where I just scuffed the paint (no sand blaster..)

Rain/mud/etc is not a problem for 2k urethane, right?
The ACME/SW tech sheets do not say, so I'm not sure how long I can leave the 2k exposed before sanding&painting.

I might spray more 2k after the first sanding session, then sand again and coat with my urethane single stage (flat tan). My time off ends tomorrow and I'll be doing 12/7 for 4 weeks...

2k primer is not water proof...the epoxy probably is but only for so long till the uv rays break it down.....

yea it will hold water too so youd rust out faster . if it was a week or so yea any longer no or you might have to sand it all back off just to get the primer to hold right with the paint and under coat . like rmodel said
