For the love of beer and naked blonde women, please don't "Roll coal." Coal rollers are contributing to the DEF, DPF, EGR, Urea, Catalytic converter, Regen government regulation BULLSH!T that us diesel guys are having to deal with.
If you're going to beat the snot out of get, get a Cummins. No Duramax deserves that, although it'd do it 10x better than the Cummins will.

Only hillbillies get seriously upset about DMAX vs. Cummins. We're not OBS owners, for God's sake.

Those are hard enough to find in good shape already, don't let him wreck one.
Really though on the roll coal, smoking people out, etc it's not cool and causes a lot of headaches for those of us who just want to drive a diesel like a white man and not deal with a ridiculous amount of emissions stuff.

You got a soft side for the 90s srw f350? If so, a friend of mine has a mint 96 you should see.
OP- Its best not to for the future of diesel trucks.. but if you must, and just for a toy, get a 94-98 12v Dodge Cummins with the P7100 pump. Easy to work on and make power

Some of my favorite truck's. I'm a gm guy, but a clean obs ford grabs my attention in a hurry.

My old 98 looked like it was "rolling coal" towards the end of it's days. Just get an obs and neglect the **** out of it.

Yeah, their nothing compared to my tuned dmax or any of the newer trucks. Doesn't mean they totally suck though.

if your gonna get one to beat the **** outta get a idi diesel.. but diesel's shouldn't be mud trucks if they are gonna touch mud, now in 2.5 ton trucks it isn't so bad.

Why does almost every diesel thread start as "I WANNA ROLL COAL"? Buy a older Saturn that needs valve seals, or a mid 90's Dodge/Plymouth minivan?

Because it matches with the Rebel flag so nicely, dontchaknow? Seriously, rolling coal is worthy of a smack over the head with a 2x4.

Couldnt see your face through all the smoke.
You need better tuning to clear that up then.
Rollin coal tells me two things about the driver. 1. They don't know how to tune their truck and 2. They are a DB. So, go have fun
