Transmission Cooler?

I currently have a 2003 1500 Z71 and I was wondering if they come stock with a transmission cooler? How can I check to see if there is one? I also have a 4 inch lift on the truck and I'm about to tow a rather large trailer halfway across the country. I'm just trying to figure out what I can do to make sure I'm not gonna overheat or ruin my tranny, thanks.

External trans cooler will be the front most cooler, usually on the pass side. The factory coolers are stacked plate style. You can follow the transmission lines.

What size tires? What gears? What kind of trailer, and how heavy?

If you still have stock gears and bigger tires more then likely you will not want to pull a trailer.
Also do you have the stock hitch? That is only rated for 5k meaning if your pulling a big trailer you probably need a new hitch too.

The tires aren't that big 305/70R16 and I just purchased the truck so I have no idea what gears are in them. Any way to check without tearing everything apart? Also the trailer has been reduced to a simple 6 X 12 Uhaul so I'm wondering if it's even that big of a deal?

Ok so according to the website I have 3.73 gears if they were never changed by the last owner. It says nothing about having a transmission cooler and it doesn't have a transmission temp gauge either. Would you recommend changing the gears? If so what should I change to and how hard is it?

Look dead center behind the grill for a cooler approximately 4"x10". Two lines running towards the passenger side.

If you have an auto you have a trans cooler.
The cooler you see should be an added factory cooler for the towing package.
