Who is a reputable vendor for fenders etc for my '66? I have seen web sites for Brothers Trucks, and Classic Parts (truck parts of America), as well as LMC Truck. Any of these have good or bad reputations? Are there others I should be looking at instead? Thanks!

I've used LMC Truck and have always had good service... decently fast shipping, good communication... really good catalogs. (I could get in trouble with one of those lol)

Thanks! I've heard of them and have checked out their web site. I'll probably give them a try. I don't need a printed catalog to get in trouble, even on line I see things I didn't know I needed but the list keeps growing! Like a kid at Christmas, "I want one of those, and two of these, and....!" I appreciate the input!

Be aware that most replacement body panels for classic vehicles like our are stamped overseas, so if you want to keep your domestic truck domestic, you may have to do some searching.

Great - so by restoring my Chevrolet I'm helping the economy of China? That's just plain wrong!
Thanks for the tip, I'll ask where parts are from. Any idea if LMC is domestic or foreign?

LMC body panels are typically from Taiwan, Japan, or China.

Any body panels you find for that truck, are stamped overseas, and I'm pretty sure by 1 company. Sometimes www.rustrepair.com is cheaper than others, but sometimes not.. If you want original fenders, Desert valley auto parts will probably have them at a price... EPA, DEC and DEP have put a huge impact on industry in the USA.

Thanks for the tip, I'll ask where parts are from. Any idea if LMC is domestic or foreign? Probably 99% of everything in the LMC catalog is made overseas. CARS Inc. (http://www.carsinc.com) makes reproduction sheetmetal and other parts in the USA, but unfortunately not for a 1966 Chevy truck.

Who DOES sell Made In USA panels? Or is an import pretty much the only option?

As far as I can tell, you're SOL if you want new fenders for your '66, but there are some salvage yards (usually in the Southwest) that sell quality used panels.
