I just bought a 36' imperial gooseneck triple axle car trailer. I need to replace the lights and will be installing leds. I am trying to figure out how many and were I have to have them by law and not finding much. This is for private use not comercial. I am thinking three amber infront of the fenders one amber behind the fenders then a red at the rear and then my led oval tail lights. I really like the small look of the 3/4" led ound lights or going with the 19200y series lights but in led. Not sure what you guys have used and works well I want to beable to see the trailer at night.

Okay here is a picture I am thinking one amber at the front one amber at the front of the fenders with one in the middle of them two one amber behind the fenders and a red at the rear, will have my 6" oval led stop / turn lights at the back and has a license plate light in the middle of the back were the three bar light is also. What you guys think it will work and beable to see it at night.
I am also looking for ideas for replacing the fenders not sure if I want removable or just fold out fenders to load something wide.

That's a sharp trailer, I'd like to find one more like that for hauling multiple rigs...
Mind if I ask what it set you back?

I have just under 3K in it including the 100.00 I spent in fuel to go get it and what I will have in all the led lights.

LED that sucker out!
Who cares what the requirements are, set your budget at $600 and go to town!

Any lights visible from the rear quarter view must be red (that would be anything behind the fender).
Anything ahead of the fender may be red unless it is visible from the vehicle's front quarter... then it must be amber.
Personally, I'd go with amber ahead of the tires just for visibility.
On the rear, you need the stop/turn/tail, plus three clearance lights in the center (between the ramps).
Ditto on "to hell with the minimum requirements". I've had three trailers nailed by idiots who changed lanes into my flatbed, thinking that as soon as my tailgate was ahead of their bumper, they were clear to change lanes.
If you think you need lights at the front of the fenders and the front corners, stick two more in between those two and one extra in the rear for a total of 6 red behind the fenders and 8 amber in front.
Don't forget the 3 light bar in the center rear

Looks like it's there, right above the tag.

well I got 5 led lights on each side for know we will see how it looks when I tow it the first time at night and see how well I can see it. I also was told as far as red verse amber lights red can only be within 3' of the rear of the trailer so behind the fenders is amber since there is like 8-10 feet behind the fender.
