Looking into getting an 08, crew cab, lt, 4x4 short bed, duramax/allison and am always pulling a 7x16 v nose tandem axle trailer. currently weighs in at around 10,500 lbs when my 04 crew cab lt 4x4 short bed is pulling the trailer, on scale with me in it. truck has tool box, spray in liner, and step rails. nothing else. what does that make my trailer weigh, and what kind of mpg can i expect with the diesel? 90% around town. just looking to see what my fuel savings can amount to. 6.0 getting around 7mpg now. trailer is pulled 6 days a week, almost always is hooked up
here's my old thread when i started thinking about a diesel, more truck specs in there.
