I am debating on what to put in my 07 GMT900 I don't mind if the unit makes a bit of noise I just want something affordable that works as I have an open carrier at the moment.

If you drive that truck on the street you wouldn't want a locker

Posi or True Trac would be best

And yes that is a True Trac

yes if you drive your truck on the street all the time you will want a limited slip or posi unit

i have the lockright in mine..but i bought it when i was still wheeling my truck and it was gonna be a wheeling rig...but not its a street truck all the time and im not a big fan of the locker on the street

around corners it constantly chirps the inside tire if you are on the gas...it does make noise locking and unlocking...just not a big fan of it for constant street use but i have no money to take it out and put limited slip in it so i will deal with it for now

if you are dead set on a locker look into the selectable lockers either air or elec..they cost more but are alot nicer to have on the street they are open but flip a switch and they are fully locked
