I am lowering my truck and have to chop it before the axel. Im very disapointed, I bought a coldair intake, headders, y pipe, 3" all the way to spintechs quietest exhaust. was hoping for a really cool custom sound and what i ended up with was a ton of drone that would drive a def man crazy.
Has anyone ever chopped b4 axel and kept it quiet without drone.

From all my reading this morning and last night... I could install a resonator and go back to a stock exhaust thats 3" in and out......

Would love to hear some personal experiance because this buying and trying is getting expensive.

I know your pain... Bought my truck with a flowmaster 40 that was dumped under the cab. The noise inside the cab is not ok. From what I have read the drone is so bad because the sound bounces off the ground and goes back into the truck. I plan on just kicking it out the side in front of the rear wheel.

nothing will be as quiet as exiting all the way out the back. If you have a regular cab, in my experience they are loud inside with any type of exhaust. get the exit back to the stock location and work from there. if you dont like the tip sticking out, cut it a little short.
