View Full Version : Any way to figure out paint code on 94 silverado with no RPO codes available?
Got a mint condition bed, tailgate, door, and fender ( red and black color scheme) from pic-a-part for my 88 OBS. I was hoping to buy a few cans of the perfect match paint from dupont and paint the cab, door, and other fender to match. I remember looking at the door and seeing it was a 1994 but I didn't think to look at the glovebox for RPO codes. Is there any way to confirm colors from the year? It's a gloss black and just a normal red. Can anyone help? Would car quest be able to figure out? I hate trying to match paint chips, it never works out for me.

Thanks for the link but I don't have the VIN off the donor truck either. I was hoping there were only certain GM colors from 94 listed somewhere so I could narrow down the possibilities.

There were 6 different reds used in 1994...and only 1 black. WA8555.

Most likely the paint will not match anyway on a 1994 vehicle. It has faded over time, may not be visible until you put it on another "matching color" truck, not to mention 2 red trucks from the same year are not exact from the factory. Hence, blending occurs at body shops.
