I bought a 94 6.5 with a blown rear diff. Found a guy selling a full rear out of a 95 2500 6.5 would this be the same diff? Thanks And if not which years/models will work thanks

if its the 2500HD it will be the 14bolt full float. if its not the hd it will be the semi float. but it will be the same u-joint in either axle

The 1500 truck will have a 6 lug axle and you need to determine which it is. I believe most, if not all, of the 6.5 powered 1500 trucks had the 14SF rear axle but in no ways 100% sure. Very quick and easy check.....count how many bolts are on the diff cover. Should be either 10 or 14.

A 2500 truck could have either an 6 or 8-lug 14SF, or even a 8-lug 14FF.

For the guy above saying "if its out of a z71 it should be a 4.10" is completely wrong. The Z71 option has had absolutely nothing to do with the gear ratio except for may a year or two in the mid-late 2000's, and I don't even think you could get 4.10 in a 1500 truck in the mid-90's.
