These pictures are of my buddy's 54' 3100. It sits on the original frame with roughly 5-6" of lift. It has a TBI 350, A/C, and P/S. It also has functioning 4WD. Its a little dirty in these pictures. Currently this is his DD! Any suggestions on future mods or improvements?

Maybe a tailgate that says Chevrolet on it, or get it painted/airbrushed on in some kind of cursive lettering. That would be kind of cool. Other than that, I wouldn't touch it. Nice ride!

Thanks man. My buddy and his dad built it mostly. I helped along the way. I am trying to talk him into black wheels, but he hasn't budged on that front yet. I think some air brushing is the ticket for the tailgate though.

Pull the metal center out of the tail gate, replace it with clear lexan and paint Chevrolet across it. I've only seen it done once and it looked good.

first mod would be to install some air in the left rear tire. then i'd go for a different wheel/tire combo. its clowning the tires that are on it.

rockwells. 56" Agricultural tires. 12v Cummins diesel.

 no, seriously...a modded 5.3/6.0 and bigger tires would be sweet...

dude I'm with you, a cammed LQ9 or something would be nasty. Some 36's would be nice. Maybe the 36x12.50 swampers? Or maybe a classier Toyo M/T?

Agree 36's would be nasty!

well, if he drives it daily, as you mentioned, then i wouldn't get a real aggressive 36. need to get something with better street manners than offroad manners...even though i think it's a waste of money to spend that much money on big tires that don't excel off road...but for his purpose it wouldn't be a waste...
