Well thanx captain obvious lol but really what can i find them on? Im headed to the wreckin yard to pick up a dana44 this weekend and from what ive heard its a 4x4 grave yard so im hopin to find a corp14 and a dana 60... To build up over the next few months. Now i think i read that i can find a good front dana60 in mid-late 90s 3/4ton dodges is that right? So how bout them nuckles? Im wanting to put them on my 44 until i get good axles built with gears and air lockers and bullitproof shafts....

Those don't look like any 38s I've ever seen.

Swamp Ass
12-18-2011, 08:16 PM
Yea i know... but they messure 37 1/2 and they about half life they messured 38 1/4 when they was new

Swamp Ass
12-18-2011, 08:18 PM
Honestly i think its the deep dish rim that makes them look off

ryan_thompson87
12-18-2011, 08:25 PM
Can't find anything that says they made Buckshots in 38s......or even anyone that makes a 38 in anything smaller than 14" wide which those definitely aren't......How wide are the rims? Those don't look to be anymore than a 35", even if they were a wide rim and it ain't close to the same heightthey would balloon more. The way my truck sits on 36x12.5" TSLs or 35x10.5" Boggers, Yours should tower over it with 38s, even with what looks like a 4" lift,. Just saying it should sit higher.

Did like the vids BTW.

Lol, I'm thinking that's it, I found an old ass set of 38s on google, looks like they did make 'em, I stand corrected.

I stand corrected. Looks to be the same lift I have, or had until I played with the front spring rate.

Your right thou... i cant find these tires in a 3i8in online eather... but mine deffinatly messured 38in when i puttem on... i got them from a local case IH dealer he had 2 sets. A half life set and a new set.. i got the new and i duno what happend to the others... maby he gottem a long ass time ago or somthin. these are stamped gateway like the old ground hogs. ill ask him next time i need to pick up some hydro fluid. what tires do you run now?

ryan_thompson87
12-18-2011, 10:23 PM
Ya they looked to be Gateway Buckshot mudders. Old school.

I've got my TSLs on a spare set of rims now for the Winter, so I don't wear down my Boggers pointlessly. Plus the TSLs are a bit better in snow.

True 6in lift springs and 40s are my next step... im thinking boggers aswell but still now 100% shur yet
well that and a set of REAL beadlocks no fake look-a-likes haha. I figure since there are so many well faked ones runnin around I should be able to get away with the real thing

ryan_thompson87

I've been toying with the idea of just a set of weld-on beadlocks for my Rallyes, but I never air down past 10psi anyway, so I'm not real concerned.

Swamp Ass
04-13-2012, 02:42 AM
Shocks messure 36in fully extended and 15inch of travel so they should work fairly well...(for now) in a couple years it will prolly get a new complete rebuild full of more upgrades lol
