OK...kinda new to the forum, and I need some advice. I'm about to order wheels for my project ('79 ShortWide) and need info on backspacing. I'm ordering 20x8.5 front/ 20x10 rears.

Don't want the front to have TOO much dish, but I want the rears to be DEEP.

Please be gentle...I've never ordered wheels before :)

personally, I would probably get at least 5" in the front. Anywhere from 5-6 you would be good. Will will need a pretty small tire with a 5" drop in the front. Like a 245/35/20. There are not cheap.

In the back, if you want some dish, run 4" of back spacing on a 8.5" wheel, but I personally would run a wider wheel in the back to give you the dish you want.... also look at some different styles. sometimes just the style of the rim gives it more of a "dished" look.
