i got a camper shell on my truck that has the front window that opens. now that would be nice when you have a back glass that opens as well BUT i dont in my truck and i dont want a rear opening window on my trucks cab. and the center split glass and bars are more of a blind spot than any good!
im curious if i could get a solid window for this camper or would i have to use some plexiglass or something in its place and just cut it to fit? im really not sure.
id really like to delete this split window and put in a solid clear window!

i have no idea how this glass comes out from the front of the camper shell.

and before ya say remove the camper shell.... save it. i like this camper shell and it stays on in this cold weather for sure. id just like to have a clearer view out the back if posible.

if theres a way i could remove the glass and replace it with some clear plexiglass that would be great. im sure a brand new window from the manufacture would be to much $. im not to worried about leaking i could always do it in 3 pieces and just put some clear silicone to seal the small cracks between pieces that wouldnt be as much of an eye soar if i have to. tho i would prefer a 1piece glass piece!

Take it to a local glass shop. It looks like it should be easy enough to have a solid piece of glass installed. I'm not sure I'd use plexi or lexan since they're prone to scratching.

Well since the window will never get touched.... scratches shouldn't be a problem! Only time I could clean it is when I instal or remove it.

on my brahma which isn't made anymore that widow was busted out by the PO. I took the frame off and went to Tap plastics and had them cut a piece of lexan to fit the frame. I paid 50 bucks if I remember right.

The lexan plexiglass stuff is no problem I could cut that myself to fit, main thing is how to get this window out first. :( not sure if its glued in or bolted in.

most shells use self tapping screws. at least that's what mine had

keep an eye on craigslist a lot of people nearly give away toppers that are just sitting around or have a broken window. I have a solid window and have been looking for a slider but the only one with a slider I have found so far was gone 30 minutes after the guy posted it.

A guy I work with has a slider on his topper so we tried to switch toppers but his did not fit my truck and mine did not fit his truck. But he front windows are the same so we are going to switch them once I have time. But with just moving I do not have time for it. But anyways the windows I think are some what standard so check the sizes and they are screwed together from the inside.
