Hey i was wondering if some of you guys might think if it is a good idea if i keep my truck and put a 383 in it a new tranny, lift it and some other modifications or do you think i should sell it and buy a better truck.

if you want to keep it, by all means do the things you mentioned. It would be a fun rig for sure. However, keep in mind you won't be getting the money back out of it.
