A buddy of mine has a Blazer that he wants to mod to get more power and mileage out of it and an e-fan is a logical step. What i'm wondering is would an e-fan setup from an 05+ 4.3 Silverado work or is the fan physically too large to fit? The Blazer was made in 05, as well as the last year for the Astro too, but I figure they wouldn't put an e-fan on being the final year of production. I have no idea if a Trailblazer fan would fit either, I wouldn't assume so.
Also what all is needed to convert besides the fan itself? Could wiring from an e-fan vehicle work or does a harness need to be custom made? And how would the fan be controlled, how does it work in the full size 05+ trucks? Does it need a relay or could you rig it so it turns on as the t-stat opens?
