"Federal" parts ok in CA?

Took my truck to a shop, they said my carb was toast and tried to rob me for $1390 to fix it. I took it to a friend and found out I just need a mixture control solenoid for my Rochester Quadrajet. I was having some trouble locating the part, but I just found one online. The site lists parts and says some parts are "Federal" and some have "CA" labels. I found a "Federal" part at http://www.carburetion.com/quadrajet.asp (it's about half way down the page if you'd like to see exactly what I'm talkin about), and I'm wondering if the "Federal" parts are California Emissions compliant or not. Any advice?

which one will fit? they look different. get the one that will fit.

California emissions is different. But the better guide, look at the emissions label under the hood. It will say something along the lines of "This motor vehicle complies with all emissions requirements.......etc" and it will say either federal or Cali...
