As far as i know the TBI heads, at least the stock ones dont flow very well, which is part of the reason the vortecs get alot more power than a TBI. So, unless those have had some work (which they very well might), they're probably not much better than stock. I am considering doign a head swap too between NOW and the time that my truck explodes in 20 years or so, becayse 200 horsepower out of an engine almost 4 times the size of the 4 banger volvo that i had that was a 2.1 ltr, and got 98hp, is kinda sad. wow this got long...
good luck

Don't waste your money.
Look for a pair of 14101083's or 14096217's
With a little port work the flow as well or better than the Vortecs and are a direct bolt on.
I scored a pair of 083's on Ebay for $80
I scored a pair of 217's locally for $100
These will make more Hp per $ than any TBI head.
