I need an intermediate pipe for my truck 2005 5.3L RCSB...I want it to be stainless steel since thats what everything else on my exhaust is. Where can I pick up a stainless steel intermediate pipe? I don't even care if it fits to length I can weld it to fit. My only problem is getting the proper bends.

Spintech will custom make one for you. I had one made by them that was 3 inch diameter and it fit perfectly like the stock intermediate pipe did. I had to call them directly and explain what I needed and they said no problem, just give them some extra time to switch over to using stainless steel pipe with their intermediate pipe jig and they would get it done, and that's what they did.

I searched and searched because I was going through the same thing with wanting to keep the whole system stainless and I ended up having to have Spintech create it for me, but in the end I got what I wanted and no other big name exhaust manufacturer would do such a thing like that for a customer with a special request.

My intermediate pipe right now goes from 3" to 2.5" then back to 3" to fit my muffler (at the time I didn't have time to do it and took it to a shop where they did that which wasn't what I wanted). My old muffler was a 2.5" inlet unfortunately. I just want to see if going to a solid 3" intermediate pipe will do anything positive. I knew Spintech did do the intermediate pipes but I don't see them listed anymore on their page and from what I remember they weren't cheap.

Yeah, it wasn't cheap at 150 dollars. I never did see that part listed on their website but I got the sense that they since they made them for the cat-back systems they sell, that they have the means to make them and that I could ask and see where the conversation goes from there.

I was really hoping Magnaflow had the option of ordering just the intermediate pipe in stainless as I'm sure it would be much cheaper, but such a large manufacturer like that isn't going to separate a pipe like that, put a price on it, and ship it unfortunately.
