I'm getting out of the off-road scene a little bit and haven't put enough miles on the Chevy to justify keeping it. It will hurt to see it go, but I think I'm ready to part with it and move on to another project. I have a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money in this truck, but I'll list as much info as I can.
Engine - CA legal 5.3L Engine Swap (from 2004 pickup), tuned with EFI live, averages 12.5MPG City, over 13 MPG highway. K&N Air Filter, Flowmaster exhaust, York 210 On-Board Air Compressor. about 105K miles on motor/transmission.
Suspension/Axles - Front HP Dana 44 (Ford with Chevy Outers for 6 lug) with limited slip (I believe it's an Auburn), 4.88's, Warn Locking hubs, crossover steering, Alcan leaf springs, about 12" of lift total (6" springs, 3" ORU SAS kit, 3" body lift). Rear 14 Bolt SF 9.5 (6 lug) with 4.88's, Eaton E-Locker, Disc brake conversion, 6" leaf springs, Shackle Flip Kit. Dual Front Bilstein 7100 shocks, single Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear. The steering box is drilled and tapped for Hydro-assist. I also have a hydro-assist ram (with hydraulic hose) that I never installed after I put on the crossover steering.
Tires/Wheels - 18"x12" Weld Rims, 38x15.50x18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's with 70% tread left.
I'm taking off the Nathan K5LA horns to put on my other truck, but I have mounted a 1/2" valve inside the truck to operate a horn if you end up putting one one. There is a 5 gallon air tank mounted under the bed near the rear bumper. You can almost any air tool off the York 210 compressor, but I just used it to air up my tires and blast the train horn.
Other odd's and end's include installing the 2004 steering wheel in the interior, installing the 2004 rear view mirror with temperature gauge, Driver's side A-Pillar gauges (tranny temp and air pressure), OBS escalade cluster, and a few others. I also have dual batteries under the hood (both batteries were purchased last month). E-Fans are controlled by the PCM or manually with a switch on the dash. I also have an older model Alpine deck and memphis amp/speakers. The subs have been taken out but I also have a 1,100 watt memphis amp and 4 - memphis 10's that we could include in the deal. The box was sold about 2 years ago. The interior is still in great shape. All of the gauges work except the fuel gauge. I swapped in the 2004 fuel tank (which was needed to pass the CA emissions test) and couldn't figure out how to get the fuel gauge to operate correctly.
The truck is in great shape and runs stronger than my 2008 GMC 4.8L Sierra. Update - transmission has been working fine. I changed the fluid and filter, so it may have been that the fluid was low. It may still need to be looked at, but I'm not going to throw money looking into it. Door pins have been swapped.
The mileage on the body and interior is around 200K, but the engine/transmission has 105K and the axles aren't original (and both have been rebuilt). There is still a lot more mileage to get out of this truck. Tags are paid through February 2012 and I'll get it smogged before selling to prove it's CA smog legal  Update - truck just passed smog 5.26.12
I've played around in the mountains, snow, and sand. This truck will tear through just about anything when you air down and engage the e-locker.
I'm asking $8,500obo. Please PM me if you're interested. I live in Fresno, CA but will travel to meet with you if needed. I'm only putting a couple photos on here for now, but can take more pics if you need to see something specific.
Thanks,
Mike
