I'm about to drop a new GM Performance 350 HO into my 97 tahoe and I'm having some problem on deciding the headers i want to get. I'm actually getting a whole new exhaust system as well. But seem to be having the most trouble with the headers. I'm stuck between Doug's, Headman, & Hookers. I want to go with Long tubes now matter what though. Then for the rest hopefully keep the stock cat's but if not I'll try and get a random tech., magnaflow, or thunderbolt. then a DI/DO spintech 9000 muffler. I'll either run 2.5" pipe the whole way or do 2.5" before the muffler than 3" after.

So how does that sound to you guys, pretty good any other suggestions or anything you guys would do different. My really question is with the headers though.

Thanks for all the help fellas

Hookers are the best. :hump:

Don't know a part number, but I'd scrap the stock cat and go with an ORY or get a high flow cat.

People seem to really like the hooker 2462 headers originally made for tbi trucks. You'll have to ditch EGR of weld on a tube and you'll need to have O2 bungs welded into the collectors, but they're cheaper than any long tubes made for 96+ 5.7 vortec trucks
