Hey everybody. I had my first ever system stolen out of my truck about a week ago. I had 3 10"mtx subs in a box with a 1200 watt sony xplod, and an xplod headunit. I got it all used off a friend of mine. Nothing to crazy, but it was my first system and sounded decent imo.
Anyway, I'm looking to replace the stuff with xmas coming up. However, I'm worried about stuff getting stolen again, so I'd like to mount whatever subs I get (my last box was just behind the rear seats. I could easily spin them/take them out to use the truck) I liked the depth and availibility for the 3 10"s. I could keep the bass and gain low enough to get good bass and still some decent mids and highs, in the cavernous space that is the k5. The only thing is a box that size, no way I'd want to mount it anywhere. I was thinking of getting two 12"s in two seperate boxes, and mount each one above/adjecent to the wheel well humps. My only thing is they would both point back at each other. I'm far from an audio expert, but this seems like a bad idea to me :dunno:
ANy input would be appreciated. Creative mounting techniques, etc...
