okay im finally tires of bump stops left and right? truck got a 5/7 drop but with the weight of the system it has turned onto much more then that and i need to do something about that ASAP. the front rubs, not to much i can do about that other then mabey some stiffer shocks. but im looking into both options, helper springs, and helper bags. which would be better? i dont tow with the truck. just weight in the bed ( batteries, extra subs, over night clothing tent ext ) even with air shocks with 140PSI in them isent enough to keep me off bump stops. i have a feeling the springs on the truck are worn out but i have no real way to tell.

so this is what i am looking at

air bag helper kit, will this just bolt on or will i need to modify things? i google searched and it had said this is for trucks with a flip kit?

open to other suggestions as to what i can do to help. i really want to bag the truck, but i cant afford to do that at the moment, so this will help me get by until i can afford to do so!

The bags are a much better option!

It apears it should work on your truck with a flip kit.

Helperbags is the better way to go. I have them on my NBS with a 3/5 drop we had to mod them to make them work.

I realize they are ment to work with a flip kit but I'm curious to know if they fit without a lot of mods

Mine said they would work hell it was all the same manufacturer all Im saying is dont be surprise if you have to cut them up to make them work

What will I have to cut to make them fit? Just make it so that it sits up hover on the frame so that the bag isent as compressed at ride hight?

What I did on my truck was had to cut and reposition the upper bag bracket higher and forward to be parallel to the bag out of the box the brackets didnt line up and the bag was way to compressed at ride height. Now when Im not towing I run 10psi in them truck ride great and with a trailer I run about 65 psi at ride height handels the trailer great and the back of the truck isnt up in the air

Okay so If I need to mod it it will just be so that upper mount sits up higher? I was looking at the instructions and thought that may be a problem. Looks as if you could almost take the upper mount and flip it upside down? Any way you or some one else could snap some pictures? Also interested to see pics of what you had to do to yours to make them fit. If you could do that I would appreciate it. Or even something in ms paint or something to give me a better idea

The helper bags are definately the way to go.

This kit was made for a NBS 1500, not my 99 Tahoe. Making it fit was pretty simple. There was an article in Truckin a while back that I went by to get it to sit were it is. Align and fit. I did it with truck on stands without the wheels on, it was pretty easy.

For an idea of the lift you can get.
This is aired up to about 90lbs, I think this kit can take up to 100lbs.

About 10lbs. I thinks its roughly about 3" of lift + or -.

thats a bit diffrent then the one for the C1500 it looks, but it gives me an idea.. so when i mount the upper mounts. do i make them level with the frame.. or make it so the bag is straight, like mounting the top mount on an angle if need be
