If this is something that the creator of the documents doesn't mind sharing w/everyone, I'd be happy to host the files. I've been hosting how-to's, misc pics, etc. for more than 5 years now and have plenty of webspace available. If there's something GMT400 (88-98, or "OBS") tech- or help- related that you want hosted, just let me know.

I think ponykiller87 is the creator. He told me he switch desktop computers and had the files on his old computer. He would have to do alot of diggin to find the pdf files for the 3 diffrent swaps. I know the vortec 454 home page has the links but they dont work. If someone can post them on here then it can be shared with everyone.

I just took a look - the reason they're not working on the Vortec454 site is the site code is bad - it's trying to link back to his C: drive.

If it helps at all, the filenames are "97 ECMto0411PCM Table.xls" and "98-00ECMto0411PCM Table.xls"

By the way, none of the buttons on the lefthand side of the Vortec454 site work at all in Google Chrome. I hadda load up IE to use it?

Guys - just a heads up. Lextech (Jeff Jones) is the original person who put these guides together. He has made it clear in this forum and elsewhere that he does not want them posted. If you send him a PM, he replies back very quickly with the information you need.

Fair enough, it's always someone's business what they want to do with info they put together. I have a different view on it but since I didn't come up with the info obviously it's not up to me.

Everything I've done is free for distribution provided nobody else tries to take credit for it. :D But then again that's why I post it on forums. In a way that makes sure it STAYS free to use; if it's not a big secret then there's less of a chance anybody could have to attempt to profit from it when it wasn't "their" info. :dunno:

there were a few different versions year wise w/ updates along the way.....the only way to make sure you get the latest update and your specific year is to go right to the source. Lextech is a prompt responder....:aniteef:

Hmmmm, I wonder how had this would be on my P30 chassis? I'm guessing that the ECM would have to be flashed for a P30 chassis?

It is a 98 with a 7.4. I believe it does have the black box ECM.

I would say it should be ok, But the best thing I would recommend is to PM Lextech and ask him.
