Lol I'm kidding. I don't have mine fused, that's just one more connection and another spot you can loose voltage and amperage. Fuses are pretty well only there to stop sparks if you accidentally hook something up backwards or it runs threw the jacket. If you have a front and rear battery you will need 2 fuses per incase it shorts out. As long as you run it properly and zip tie it nice and good you should be fine. My last 3 vehicles the only thing I fused if I did use them was the powers into the amp. If you do fuse your alt run I would go 50or 100 amps larger then what your alt is rated for incase it spikes really high for some reason

every power wire needs to be fused, not just because it can spark, but those sparks and short and cause fire
johnny you best bet is to get an inline fuse like you would use for an amp power wire and run that
o and where are you ordering your stuff from? i need to do mine

Getting everything from right here.
I have AGU fuse style right now and I blow them constantly. So i'm gunna get an ANL setup with a 150 amp fuse for my amp, and then was thinking about a 250 for my amp to battery connection.

Oh yeah I'm not ordering the wire there, I am getting everything else from there though.
0 gauge fuse holder
4 gauge fuse holder
150 amp ANL fuses
250-300 ANL fuses
20 ft. of 0 gauge (for when i go to dual battery)
6 ring terminals
and maybe some fancy battery terminals, probably not though.

Knu is very nice to deal with, and fast shipping even into canada.
nothing should short out as long as its ties up and routed properly, and you dont hook things up backwards.
