Antenna broke need suggestions

So yea,
My antenna broke clean off and now I need some suggestions on a replacement. Are there any good internal antennas? or a better external antenna.

The shorter the better IMO

Go to the parts store and get one of those cheap universal amplified antennas that are meant to be mounted on your windshield, and mount it under your dash, it will work better plus you wont see an antenna anywhere, which IMO is much cleaner

I was reading about hidden antennas. So you're saying that it's better and obviously cheaper to get those universal amplified ones and put it under the dash. Cool I'll have to try that.

You should be able to go to your LHS and buy just an antenna and solder a piece back on to the original length and see some car accessories store (http://www.12vcity.com/14-accessories)
