Okay guys I figured it was time to go ahead and start a build thread for my truck. I will go ahead and tell you this will take me some time to complete due to time and money but I will do my best to get it done as quick as I can . I will start by just posting some pictures of what im starting with. I got this truck off of a guy that was gonna haul it to the scrap yard , he said give me three hundred dollars and you can have it and it'll same me the trip, so I took him up on it . lol so here's my heap .Oh yall can help me figure out a name for this if you want to all i've come up with so far is Scrap Heap .

Here's some pictures of the rear pre runner style bumper I made. my plan is to put a roll pan on the back and mount this as close as i can to the roll pan . I think running a rear bumper and this also makes it look like there is to much going on back there .
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll48/countryredneck_2008/IMAG0131.jpg
the start of the rear bumper, just went out to the truck and measured how long i thought it should be , its 68" if anyone wants to know.
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll48/countryredneck_2008/IMAG0132.jpg
found the center line 34"

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll48/countryredneck_2008/IMAG0137.jpg
Cut another piece of tubing 52" long . the tubing is 1 3/4" roll bar tubing dont think i've mentioned that yet. found the center line on it which is 26". and measured out 16" from the center on both sides marked it and put in two 60 degree bends.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll48/countryredneck_2008/032.jpg
and from there i kind of got lost in the building and didnt take many pictures until the end. I know all the measurements and angles of the bends if anyone wants to know them . this is the first bumper i've made and i think it tured out okay , i do exhust work for a living is why i have a pipe bender. comments welcome.

Here are a few picures of the engine so far, all i've done so far is the bottom end. it's your regular run of the mill 350 with an eagle rotating assembly.I have'nt deciced on what cylinder head i'm goning to go with yet , leaning toward a set of afr street heads . i know its going to be carburated with an oem style roller cam aroung 290 degree advertized duration.

I know things seem scatted out so far and truthfully they have been . i have a few more things to take pictures of to get thing caught up on here and my plan is to take on the chassis. I'd like to get everything stripped off the chassis and cleaned up . then start putting things back together. After the holidays pass i plan on ordering the lift , installing it and then ethier painting or powder coating the frame after all the mounts or what have have been cut off and cleaned up for the lift. Yall think its gay if I paint the frame black and all the lift parts and traction bars a candy apple red?

She looks a little rough, but not in too bad of condition overall. I'm not sure if I missed it, but what are your plans for it after the engine is in?

SANDERS42

well i dont plan on putting the engine in until im almost done with everything else. as far as the truck goes i plan on putting a 6" lift , maybe a 3" body lift to have'nt decided.I'm going to replace the doors , fenders, hood, and put in the newer style grill, a roll pan on the back with the pre runner stlye bumpers and paint the truck black back with the factory red interior. i want to run the mickey thompson classic lock ll wheels with the atz I think .

Okay i have a small update. Really have'nt done a whole lot, just cleaned a few things up and painted them . I bought a RCX 6" lift and all the front end parts . I've started stripping the lift kit because i plan on painting it red or brandy wine have'nt really made up my mind yet. also have a couple questions for you guys. My truck had the work truck grill with the single head lights in it . Do i have to change the radiator support to put the newer model dual head lights and grill in on it? and also with the rcx lift is the stock drag link done away with?
