I've owned this truck for almost 2 years. (2002. 4l60e) Original trans and its been "clanking" from 1st to 2nd
Lately its been getting much worse and sloppier(if thats even a word) sometimes there's a delay from 1st to 2nd. Sometimes Its a firm shift and other times it'll clunk. I have been thinking about getting a Corvette servo but I am worried it'll just make my situation worse.
Any input? Thanks.

I had a slight flare sometimes shifting into second before the vette servo. Its been in for over 50k miles and its still doing fine with no flare.

thank you very much. any recommendations as to where to get one? I don't want to buy a random ebay one that claims to work and have it not be right or ruin my transmission. college is too expensive to afford another one. haha

Since you are in MI, there is a place called D&E automotive in Detroit area. They sell all kinds of trans parts. Or you can go to the local trans shop & they might have one in stock if they rebuild transmissions.

They should not be over 20-25 bucks.

I got mine in the mail yesterday.. and after searching for about an hour. I am still unable to find the thread on how to install these.. i could have sworn i saw one a while ago.
is there one anywhere? I have looked through the transmission tuning section and the tech articles and nothing.
thanks
