quick question about compressor running to air tank? leader hose have to go directly

curious if the air compressors leader hose should go right into the air tank or can a just screw on a air fitting onto it and run a hose from the compressors leader hose to the air tank?
i just got my new 5gallon air tank yesterday and new compressors a few days ago and id like to start planning out where im going to put everything inside my bed. and id like to slap the compressors on the sides of the trucks bed inside, or maybe right next to the air tank. im just not sure right now. i have to clean out my trucks bed first before i can start mocking up things, and its quite messy back there :(

im kinda split on if i should have the compressors visable or not really. they are pretty and all. ;)
i just know i want to mount the airtank to the beds front wall in the middle. its a split decision to either mount a compressor right next to the tank on the ends of the tank, or else where to kinda keep them outta the way/sight.
gotta love it how the tank is only 6lbs so i know it wont be a weight problem for it on the beds wall. hell my compressors weigh more at 8lbs each, i might make a shelf to mount the compressors on to keep them mounted flat and keep them off the bed floor as much as possible. i just want to keep the setup clear of geting hit with anything so hell i might just make a whole bed mount for everything and bolt it to the floor of the bed instead of bolting it to the beds front wall.

Either way will work. Must make sure you install a one way check valve between each compressor and the tank, you don't want air to feed back from the tank to the compressors.

ok. the compressors already have check valves on there leader hoses. so im good there. i just gotta start cleaning out my trucks bed and run to hardware store for abunch of fittings. o joy/not. i hate adapting everything :( at least i only have to do it once.

just fyi those check valves are crap so keep an eye on them

you got a recommendation then for the check valves?
but i do have a light on the dash that connects to the compressor so i know when its running and not at least.
i know the one that used to be well still on my small tank must have been bad since it kept loosing air overnight and could never find a leak.
