Just bought a new 2011 Z71 2wd crew cab LT color keyed white/blk leather

I have a 2002 Silverado, bone stock and a lifted Powerstroke..

I think the '11 would look pretty tough dropped a bit.

Anyone have pictures close to my truck with a 4/6?
Also, is a notch required? I'm researching, thanks in advance.

I not real familiar with the new body style. I know they sit higher than the older models in stock form. I have an '07 Classic with a 4/6 and definetly needed the notch.

I may be wrong but i thought all Z71s were 4wd NOT 2wd

Yep, she's 2wd

I strayed from 4x because I only have needed it to pull the boat up the launch ramp when the rear tires are in the slime.

I think it does, but I don't know for sure if it sits higher than std 2wd

My dad has a Reg cab 2008 Sierra z71 2wd, and yes it does sit higher as a z71. There are 1-3/8" blocks under the rear leafs and there are also 1" spacers under the front struts. On my dads truck, we removed both of those and then he lowered it 2/5, its dead level and he's thinking of going to down to 3/6 just by moving the new rear hangers to the top hole and getting the 1" spacer for the front struts. And you don't need a notch on 07+ NNBS unless you drop it more than 7" in the back. You just have to cut the factory bump stop off. Those trucks have wayy more clearance from the factory.

only GMC does it, it gets the skid plates and the spacers to make it sit higher, and 3.73s with G80

i think its worth it just for the gears and g80 really, dont really need the other 2, and the z71 package might have other things too but im not sure what else

on the nnbs trucks you dont have to be notched for 6" but Id do it anyways because you still may bottom out here and there.

But, they have about a 3" rake from the factory so most people go 4/7
