My new to me 95 K1500 has exhaust leaking where the Y-pipe connects to manifolds. I was thinking that if was going to tear into that part of it I might put in headers just because. Probably snip the cat at some point, too. There is a bunch of listings on eBay from some place called KO Speed for stainless headers around $100 or so. How bad can they be? I'm not really after super performance, but stainless would be nice, given this is the rust belt.

I had a set of cheap stainless headers from ebay that were pretty nice. Had thick flanges and no leak issues. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-0L-5-7L-V8-HEADER-EXHAUST-88-95-GMC-CHEVY-TRUCK-SUV-/110798479419?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item19cc1aa03b

What hardware would you recommend?

Also, do those bolt to a stock Y-pipe with donuts, or do I need to get a different one?

I have a set of cheap ebay stainless tell headers, no complants here, had them almost a year. I did use the included hardware & have had no issues with it, I did use mr. gasket gaskets though.

Mine came with collectors so I had to get them welded to the y-pipe.
