I picked up this 96 off craigslist for a song, guy bought it with a blown up engine and he bought one for it and hired two different guys to install it, well neither one was a real mechanic so It didn't get far, Dropping it in the bay was about it.

but it was a pretty clean truck and had real low miles, had been sitting since 08, it belonged to a pavement sealing and marking company before the guy I got it from and it has rock dust and silt in ever orifice, so i brought it home and pulled the engine back out cause I didn't trust anything the other two guys did , good thing too because the timing cover had a hole busted in it behind the waterpump. Cleaned it up and did some painting .

also took a spare intake and cleaned it really good, and installed a new MPFI spider in place of the poppets and installed it with
the newer style metal framed intake gaskets.

So after I got the engine in and hooked up I turned to the fuel tank,., due to the amount of time it sat and the mud and crap packed in the sheild the tank was junk..

Luckily My 97 2wd rusted a hole above the windshield and well being as 4wd is greater than 2wd It got robbed af alot of parts, gas tank and sender which as all pretty much brand new, exhaust, and engine harness and all of the underhood A/C parts.
I pressure washed the frame , did some painting and installed the 2wd exhaust and tank assy, flushed the fuel lines and hooked it all back up .
