i am planning on swapping out my tired old 90' 5.7 350, and replacing it with a 94' L19 454, as of now, i am running a 700R4, 10 bolt 3.73 rear end, will it work? will it give me troubles down the road? or is this a good running combo? any input would be greatly appreciated.

I did the same thing a few years ago. The 454 truck had a 4L80 with a flywheel that wouldn't bolt to the 700's converter. I had to order one from Jegs. Also had some different plugs on the harness...tps wiring i think...Other than that it wasn't bad.

I think you might have problems with the rear end if you do more than just easy dd it... that's only from the bit ive read on here and my experience with a couple kids with 5.3L AND 10b who drive like fvkin retartds. Just keep an eye on it... I think the gearing should be great for a big block.

The idea is to unplug the wiring harness at the firewall, just swap from the 1ton1ton to my truck, and the 1tonfood already had a 700R, so the flywheel should work, and I've out grown driving like a retard, so I'm sure the 10 bolt will hold up just fine

No 1 ton came from the factory with a 700R4. A 94 should have had a 4L80E. The older ones had a Turbo 400. The swap should go pretty easy and yea, the 10 bolt will hold up ok if you take it easy. You could be on the look out for a 454 SS axle (5-lug, 14-bolt beefy sumb!tch) which would improve the setup, but they are rarer than a hen's tooth. Once the 700R4 says "f*ck this sh!t" you can have it gone through and built to take whatever that 454 can dish out...I think it'll all work pretty well...what are the specs on the truck it's going in? RCSB, RCLB, ECSB, ECLB?
