Looking to go with a fully manual valvebody here. Undecided on transmissions. I will be going with a place called "Transmission Kings" http://transmission-kings.com/WHAT_S_INSIDE.php

Currently I have a lockup style torque converter along with a 4l60e trans, and if I keep that I will need to flip a switch while cruising from 2-3, and 3-2. I want to eliminate this, so I might just get a non lockup style torque converter. I think I want to keep the 4l60e with a manual valvebody, but go non lockup. Is there anything that I am missing, or can I just simply do this and not have to worry about anything? Do I need a lockup style!? I am trying to stay under 1200 bucks on this.

Will this manual valvebody kit work with my truck: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRG-4L60E-HD2/
Also, lockup, or nonlockup, and If I cannot go nonlockup, what are other options?

Or if I keep the lockup style torque converter which wire would I use from the trans for the switch, and when would I need to flip this switch. Ive heard of a pressure style switch that automatically switches the lockup on. Is that true, where can I get one? Thanks!

What do you know about transmission kings? I may need a new tranny and I found some bad reviews on them. Junk tranny's and not honoring 2 yr warranty. I'm trying to find out myself if that was an isolated case.

street or strip? in my opinion non lockup strictly for racing, lockup for street.

To keep the lockup, there is a company called Painless, and they have a vacuum switch setup that works very well. It has the brake switch to disengage the TC clutch also.
