Decided it was finally time to make a build thread so here she is..

First off id like to say thank you to all of the guys that have contributed ideas and info towards the build, it would be no where without you guys :handshake:. Feel free to leave comments, questions, and suggestions. I'd also like to say this build is a work in progress and many of your guys' builds put it to shame. Im a college student so I have to try to make it ballin on a budget. With that out of the way lets dive into it.

My truck is a '95 silverado z71 with a 5.7 tbi.
Heres what it looked like the day i bought it in August of 2011. It had 124,500 and came to wisconsin from cali where it spent the first 14 yrs of its life as a grandpa cruiser:

Thanks! Well mods coming in the near future are, led interior lighting, nfab steps, possibly oe style fender flares, smoothie bumper. Then later on down the road im thinking nbs rear bumper, headers, highflow cats, 2" cowl hood, new tires this summer I hope. All subject to change of coarse but that the direction im heading anyway

I think im just going to try and sell the headlights and get tyc's to same myself a few headaches. Ive got some led interior lighting coming from MOBS. Im thinking next mods are going to be nfab cab length steps, debating on oe style flares??? opinions on that are needed. Then a different hitch that will snug up to the bumper is in order. As always im looking for suggestions, comments, and suggestions! thanks for lookin fellas. oh and i need to quit being a lazyass and finish peeling the plastidip off my bumper haha

Call me odd but my only complaint from where it sits right now is I wish you would have kept the chrome trim over the wheel wells and on the cab/doors.

I dont miss the moldings one bit, mostly because the chrome in them was falling off and looked like ****. I could always put the wheel trim back on. Dont really plan on it though right now. Im thinking something more along the lines of fender flares. Also thinking about getting some nnbs silverado badges for the doors and tailgate to make it alittle less plain. Anyway thanks for the input! its always appreciated

Got my ebay headlights on late last night... wow what a pita. I ran into problems with the adjusters on them (big surprise). An adjuster on each light was complete trash so I decided to do a complete swap onto the factory mounting brackets. I first pulled off the ebay mounting plate then there are 3 plastic clips that attach the adjuster assembly and mounting bracket assemblys to the housings. So it ended up messing with them until i got the clips out of all the headlights then simply clipped the ebay headlight onto the stock assemblies and didnt have to adjust a thing because the factory brackets were adjusted to the old headlights. Worked great and now my ebay headlights are mounted solid as a rock and no wobble :)

Im guessing this has been done before but if anyone has questions I can post pics and give more specifics. Anyway heres the new front end with the new headlights in finally!

Hey guys I got a cowl hood for this about 2 months ago but havent gotten around to getting it painted. Im in need of new tires so now im torn weather I should sell it in favor of getting new tires faster or wait and get both when money allows. Tires are by no means shot but I think they would add so much to this truck and I think it would look good weather I had the cowl on or not.. what do you guys think?

I'd hang on to the hood unless the tires are an emergency, bro. I need tires like a guy who just got outta prison needs some trim, but if I had a cowl hood, I sure as hell wouldn't sell it as long as I could still drive on the tires.

EDIT: Something about the toolbox or the NFABS make the cowl seem like too much. Is that just me?

Thanks for the reply man, I can probably get another few thousand miles outta the tires just getting impatient is all and this is an older pic. The tool box is long gone, it was too bulky and out of place imo
