Im glad that we were able to open a new section for Overlanding and expedition vehicles, but Ive realized that the definition of "Overlanding" may be a little foggy for some people. Ive been in to Overlanding for a number of years so im by no means an expert but I do think I can shed some light on what it is for those who aren't sure, plus I suggested the section so I should explain what it is. Overlanding is basically adventure travel where the main goal can be anything from finding remote locations for rock climbing, hiking, etc.. to just exploration. Expeditions are usually trips that can range anywhere from a day to years for some, there are some people who travel across continents (of course the vehicles they use are much larger and purpose built for Overlanding).
Typically when talking about overlanding the vehicles used are referred to as Expedition vehicles or Expo vehicles. Expedition vehicles are built for their purpose just like a mud truck or rock crawler is built for a specific purpose. Expedition vehicles are as self sustaining as possible for long trips, usually not lifted too high, and usually have middle size tires like 33" to 35" depending on the vehicle. These vehicles are also equipped to be as versitile as possible with winches, offroad lighting, roof top tents, roof racks, cargo systems, recovery gear, etc.. While Overlanding you can go through snow/ ice, sand, rocks, mud all on the same trip so the goal is to be capable in as many different terrains as possible. The Overland/ Expedition community is growing all over the world and people usually typically use Land rovers, Land cruisers, Cargo vans, Large Jeeps etc.. but i want to show that full size Chevys are every bit as capable and reliable and are excellend Expo vehicles. I hope this cleared things up for everyone, and if it didnt here is a link to another definition.

Also if anyone has any questions post them, id be happy to try and answer them.
