Audiophiles, I have an issue. I just bought a 2008 Sierra SLE crew cab; it's bone stock down to the floor mats. It does not appear to have ever had the stereo molested (factory CD player), but when the radio is on, sound only plays from the tweeters in the A-pillars. I've checked and adjusted all of the settings on the unit to no avail. There are speakers installed in every door and I hear nothing, even when the stereo is "cranked" up. Any idea what I need to address?
It's worth mentioning, there is a hum emitting from the grille above the driver's seat, which I assume is a microphone. In my head it appears as though the radio may be stuck 'phone' mode or the like, but I can't say with certainty. Also, there is a CD jammed in the CD player and it won't eject. That's not a big deal because I play my Ipod anyway, but I'd like to figure this out without being forced to replace the head unit just yet.
