Hey all, I stummbled upon this site through a friend and joined awhile back. I joined and have been lurking but realized I hadn't made an introduction yet. I currently own and have owned a 1986 Chevy shortbed K10 for 3 years. It originally came with a 305 but a month after i bought it, a bolt loosened itself from one of the rods and the motor came to a knocking halt. My friends and I then installed a 4 bolt main 350 from a '79 C10 and I've spent the past years doing suddle mods to the motor. Edelbrock Carb/Intake, Longtube headers, duals to flowmasters and installing 33's. It's a Custom Deluxe trim model, and while low optioned, it surprisingly came with A/C and 31 inch tires from the factory.

Although this truck has been my DD for over 3 years, the motor has proved too much for the weak 700R4 and second gear has been slipping for the past year and a half. It's sad to see considering for the age, this truck has been mostly reliable and still proving to be a great mudder on the side . I know the time is coming for me to move on to something newer, bigger and more reliable. I've been looking towards the NBS trucks so I'm hoping my time here will help me learn some things I don't already know about them. If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer!

Thanks,
Matt
