Just thought I'd ask if anyone has installed Tri-Y's themselves. I just received mine a couple of days ago and was reading through the instructions and it says to cut the alternator bracket among other things. As far as everything I've read on the net from this and different forums, it says installation is basically as easy as removing old manifolds/replace with headers IF there are no broken bolts in the process.
I had a shop quote me $275 for installation which included drilling bolts out if they break due to rust and another shop quote me $100-$120 with rusty/broken bolts being extra. I'd really like to save that cash for something else, but if installation is too difficult, I'll just pay one of the shops to do it. I'm just curious if anyone else has installed the headers themselves and what issues they ran into.
