I just bought a Python 574 remote start/alarm for my 02 Silverado and I realized that I needed to get a bypass module. I looked on XpressKit's website and they listed 5 that are compatible. I have no idea what the differences between them mean, so hopefully someone can shed some light on what module they used for their NBS?
Thanks!

from xpresskit your best bet is going to be either the PLJX or an XK06 (if it's preflashed with the correct firmware for your vehicle). your other option is to save a few bucks and make your own passlock bypass using a few relays and resistors if you're handy with a mutlimeter

I'm definitely not handy with a multimeter, but thanks!

I'm looking to get a remote start for my 02 as well, did you research different starters and how much did it run ya?

I looked at a few since I was seeing postings in my local CL for CompuStar, but reviews online basically pointed directly at anything made by DEI (Viper, Pyton, Clifford, etc). I opted for the Python since it was a little cheaper than the Viper 5901, but no real big differences in features that I could see. The fob that I got with my truck was shot, so I needed at least a remote start and keyless entry. I figured I might as well top it off with an alarm since it wasn't that much more expensive for the unit. The 574 ended up running me a little over $200 on amazon, and a full install, with starter kill and anti-grind, ran me just short of $400 at a local shop, so probably $600 overall. Best money I've spent, with getting up at 5am to go to the gym during the winter being pretty f-ing cold!
