We'll I'd stick with 33s with the body lift for now if I was u, then go with a suspension when u can if u wan 35s or bigger and get gears, that's just my opinion

3" Summit Racing kit, 17x9 wheels, 33x12.50/17.
The Summit kit is the same as Performance Accessories in Summit's packaging, but less $. It took me 2 nights, by myself. Make sure you have a good breaker bar with a cheater. My 97 had 14 year old bed bolts that have never been touched. READ the installation manual well and understand them before turning the first wrench. It will definately help.

i gotta 3" performance accessories body lift and Falken 33s.....what dude said above is all true.....took me 18hrs without a air compressor.....i'll get a pic of my fuel neck 2mor so you can see how i did it (still fills like normal on the high flow setting at the pump)......the fan shroud is a nightmare there's nothing else to that
no complaints.....if you put miles on quickly then check all the body mount torques after 1000mi.....if you put em on slow then like 500-700mi.....i torqued mine down to 90ft/lbs
advice is follow the directions and take your time....rushing things never ends good.....the only problem with my instructions was that it was saying i needed the extra blocks for a long bed (which mine is not) but i ended up needing the extra blocks anyways so idk what i would've done if i did have a long bed......also make sure you gotta mig welder on hand before you start for the overload spacers.....just put a few good tacks on both sides to keep them in place
post some pics when you're done

thanks dude
i was just re-reading this thread a little and what i would do if i were you would be do the body lift with your wheels/tires.....then crank the front an inch and throw a set of (however tall it needs to level with the front) blocks in the back and throw some 35s on it.....i wish i would've done this but i got my tires first and then realized after i did the lift that i coulda/shoulda gone with 35s.....basically what i'm saying is do the BL and see how you like it

I think if you're going to go that high (ie 4") THEN put 35s on it, which adds another 2-3", you're going to be wearing parts out really fast. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

285 is already almost 33 inches. so think of the truck sitting 3 inches higher with a minimally taller tire.

I think you guys are forgetting that for every inch of tire added is .5" of height.....a 35 is only gonna be 1" higher.....they're measured in diameter.....not radius

I installed a body lift for one of my buddies on an obs truck. With two people and the right tools I got it done in around 8 hours. Just be sure to follow the directions especially on the fan shroud, steering column extension, and fuel extension. With a 3" body and a leveling kit he is running 33's and has plenty room to go bigger

I have been running mine without the steering extension, the fuel extension, or the lower fan shroud. Been like that for 5 years now; no problems.

When you installed it, did you have to loosen the fuel line? Just curious because I know someone who tried to skip that step and pulled a dent in the bed over the fuel filler.

I just loosened the bolts/screws holding it in place and the ground and re-attached after the bed was bolted back down.
