Hey dudes! So i can't find **** for ypipes for my truck. I'm in Austin tx. Anyone have any ideas on a company that builds any?I know shops do but they want a lot because cats have to be part of the deal.
I'd really like some suggestions on what FULL exhaust system(headers back)is best for performance on my truck
Here's what I've put together in my head. Lemme know
Hedman shortys w/transdapt throttle body's spacer,2.5"y pipe w/highflow cats(not sure on brand),50. Series flow master 2.5"in dual inlet/3"out single out. ?????? Thoughts?
Thanks fellas

I've read through all the performance exhaust threads and I see people's suggestions but I'm lookin for the guy who's already done a full exhaust on a truck just like mine.I'm trying to skip the trial and error.some say lt headers, someday shortys, some say no dials some say singles. Im looking for what works not what hs to be custom fabled or that costs 1200. I know back pressure is a huge issue when running dials .I don't wanna lose torque.I wanna make this a nice responses sounding/performing street truck.. I have the k&n full air intake system and thatsit so far.I'm ready to buy more but hesitant because not sure what to get.was gonna do headers and exhaust all at sometime the do a Blackbeard tune.non one in Austin has **** to tune my truck that I've found.

Hey, if your not going to at least proof read your post, you shouldn't expect others to want to read it either.

Vortec 5.7's don't have a Y pipe, it has 2 down pipes to the cats and then to the muffler (if stock).

I'm pretty sure the 3/4 ton y-pipe is a lot larger in diameter than the 1/2 ton. I am not positive on this, but if you search for this on here I'm pretty sure I read that on this site.

There is nothing wrong with running cats, high flow cats can be found for $35. I run Thunderbolt cats with no issues for the past 2 years. Shorties are a waste of time and money, get longtubes. Skip the TB spacer, it does nothing for a Vortec truck since it is a dry intake setup. The rest of your setup is fine if thats what you want to run.
Bring the cats and muffler you want to the shop and have them build you a y pipe.

Pretty sure that if you had the sense most dogs have, you could at least look under the truck and see what's there before you ask for help sourcing a part that doesn't exist. 3/4 ton pipes are "bigger" but still have awful bends. Best bet is full length headers t-bolt hi flow cats, and a shop to fab the rest.
