contemplating 454 swap...

I am trying to sell my old 55 but having a hard time finding a buyer to nail down. A guy did say that he would trade me his newer 454 BBC for it. I don't really know much about the engine.

Here's my question:
I'm pretty sure I can swap the engine in and use it on my 4L80E, but will I have any other compatability issues with my exhaust tubing size (2.5" true duels, no cats) and the length of the drive shaft? Will the torque convertor bolt to the BBC flywheel or will I need another one (dependent on year)?

The 454's are 2.75" duals, but the manifold outlets are 2.5". Don't ask, don't know what they were thinking....

What are you putting it in? The truck in the sig? Probably not a hard swap. You'll love it....

I was thinking of putting it in my GMC. However, a guy came by and bought the 55, so no 454. But I needed cash more than the BBC so maybe further down the road I could put a 454 in or just S/C the 350 in it now.
