Mid travel kit build

Hello all. First post. I have a 99 GMC sierra ext cab 2wd 4.8 auto and I'm going to be building a mid travel kit to start with.
Just arms. Extended 5-6 out and about 4 up. It will use stock ball joints spindle and spring. Just to get me a little into it then once I save up a full long travel kit.
anyone have any pointers in this idea I'm starting next week.

hopfully you know alot about suspension geometry. And also steering. I wouldnt just wing it and build a suspension system unless I have done it before and knew a lot about it. cool idea though and i hope it works out good for you.

Extended 5-6 out and about 4 up.

is this 5-6 total?? and at most 1.5" up. 4" will not work unless you make custom knuckles even then all name brand kits only go 1.5" max.
