I think I'm going to put a reverse manual valve body in my 700R4, I don't want to use the stock shifter for that. I also think that when I do a Cummins swap with the Dodge tranny, it will make it easier.
I like the price of this one, but it's only 11". Lokar has a 16" one but its a lot more....ok, I'm just rambling now, but my main point is:

The hardest part is trying to find room when it competes with the t-case shifter and getting it high enough to be practical without looking like as. I've seen B&M truck shifters pulled off nicely before.

lm gona be doing this eventually...will just fabricate something that looks oem and will just take of the shifter on colum and throw a fancy garter belt on there which will cover shifter stub nicely and will aford me the opp to swap back for whatever reason.....when ford came out with the floor shift in thier trucks a few years ago thought it looked pretty sharp...with a little paitience a floor shifter can be pulled of in our trucks nicley....hit wreckers look for whats there...will be lots of stuff a fella could start with and mod with fiberglas from there ect...lve actully been considering makeing mine out of a solid block of wood and carveing to fit...hollow out bottom like canoe ect..quite doable

I'm going for straight "Factory look". does anyone know where the hole would be? I could convert over to cable and place it anywhere, and even build a consul to hold a camaro shifter.
